The Amazing Wheelbarrow Race ​

While the Organization receives some support from the Government of Fiji towards service delivery, it is still left to fund raise to meet approximately 30% of the funding required to sustain on going services. The Amazing Wheelbarrow Race is an annual fundraiser that commenced in 2016 that brings together partners, stakeholders and supporters of the Frank Hilton Organization in an innovative approach to assist in fundraising. It is not only a fundraiser for a worthy cause but also an opportunity for team building and corporate philanthropy. It offers a good opportunity for companies to also promote wellness and optimize fitness amongst their staff members. 
The Race is run as a relay by a team of 8 who push a fellow team member 3.3km, in a wheelbarrow around Albert Park in Suva. May teams dress up for the event which adds to the festive atmosphere. EAch team fundraises for the entry fee which is $5000. 
There are many prize categories for winners of the Race. Fastest team to finish the race is the main prize, however, highest funds raised, most creative team outfit, oldest participant, heaviest participant in the wheelbarrow, are some of the other prize winning categories that teams vie for as well.
