Last week we welcomed the team from The TalkLink Trust New Zealand, Jessamy Bell, Speech Therapist and Amanda Robertson Occupational Therapist.

The TalkLink team are specialists in the area of Communication Assistive
Technology / Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). AAC tools and
strategies are used to supplement or replace speech or writing for those
with impairments in the ability to speak or understand written language. The
purpose is to enable all people with communication impairments to interact
and participate to their full potential.

Training and intervention programs were specifically targeted and offered to parent and teachers to support
the needs of the children to increase their opportunities for interaction and participation in society.
